Bermuda vacations things to do in Bermuda

bermuda_boat_seaOfficially known as The Islands of Bermuda, the British Overseas Territory is actually closer to Mainland North America than it is to the Caribbean which it is loosely considered a part of. If you are looking for the classic, laid-back, sipping a cocktail in a hammock on the beach type of vacation then Bermuda will finitely deliver.

The Beaches!

Horseshoe Bay

Definitely the most well-known beach in Bermuda, it is located on the south of the main island. With its fine white sand and blue water it is the quintessential tropical beach.

West Whale Bay

Outlined by jutting rocky cliff side, this lesser known beach is an ideal spot for whale watching, and the water is the bluest you’ll see here.

Jobson’s Cove

If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, this small cliff surrounded cove offers a bit of exciting scenery as well as a beautiful pink sand covered shoreline.

Chaplin Bay

bermuda_boat_seaIf you are looking to spend a bit of time alone; with a good book (and the obligatory cocktail). you should go to Chaplin Bay. More secluded than its neighbors Horse show Bay and Jobson’s Cove, this beach provides the same lovely pink sand and clear water.

Elbow Beach

You will be hard pressed to find a more perfect meeting of pink sand and clear water in Bermuda. This beach is the standard.
