British Virgin Islands Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Anegada

Located to the east of Puerto Rico, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) are an archipelago made up of a multitude of islands and small cays. The four major islands are Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and Anegada, the largest of which is Tortola at 21.51 sq. miles.  Despite their small size, however, these islands are bursting with life and you are sure to have a good time.

If you are a surfer then you’ll want to visit in the winter months for some of the best waves in the region.

Devil’s Bay (Virgin Gorda)

If you are imaging a miles long expanse of white sand and palm tree then you’re off the mark. Though there the obligatory stretch of white sand and clear turquoise water, this bay is punctuated by The Baths (large naturally place boulders that form pool and arches), and the effect is as beautifully as it is interesting.

Cow Wreck Beach (Anegada)

Have a mojito at the beach bar and kick up your feet. You won’t find a more relaxing spot than this.
